چکیده

Abstract Introduction Interstitial lung disease (ILD) can manifest before the diagnosis of primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS), however, underlying mechanisms remain unclear. The aim this study is to investigate characteristics lung‐onset pSS using chest high‐resolution computerized tomography (HRCT) and pulmonary function tests (PFTs). Methods data 102 patients with pSS‐ILD were retrospectively analyzed. divided into two groups: group nonlung‐onset group. HRCT, PFTs, clinical laboratory evaluated compared. Results Among pSS‐ILD, 59 (57.8%) 43 (42.2%) nonlung‐onset. Chest HRCT in showed higher percentage usual interstitial pneumonia nonspecific pneumonia, difference did not reach statistical significance. total score was group, compared (2 [2, 3], vs. 2 [1, 2], p = .014). Total capacity (TLC) (%pred) [(75.4 ± 16.2) versus (82.8 19.4), .049] forced vital (FVC) [(82.2 19.9) (91.6 28.3), .050] significantly lower Residual volume (RV)/TLC (%) increased more than 40% ( .015). Restricted ventilation disorder, small airway obstruction reduced diffusing for carbon monoxide/alveolar (%Pred) common .038, .050, respectively). Correlation analysis that positively correlated interval between onset symptoms ILD, serum CA125, CEA. TCL (%pred), VC FVC negatively CA125. Conclusion Lung‐onset severe impairments. Serum biomarkers, such CEA, ALB, associated severity damage.

HRCT findings of pulmonary sarcoidosis; relation to pulmonary function tests

UNLABELLED BACKGROUND Chest-X-ray has several limitations in detecting the extent of pulmonary disease in sarcoidosis. It might not reflect the degree of pulmonary involvement in patients with sarcoidosis when compared to computed tomography of the thorax. We aimed to investigate the HRCT findings of pulmonary sarcoidosis and to find out the existence of possible relations between HRCT findi...

As a common endocrine dysfunction, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) could significantly influence the level of sex hormones in PCOS patients. Regarding the possible role of sex hormones in airway physiology, the present study was conducted to survey the effects of PCOS on pulmonary f...
